Paul Gorczynsk

Paul Gorczynski recently finished his masters degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. His masters research assessed the impact of Co-active coaching, a theoretically-grounded lifestyle treatment, on physical activity participation, self-efficacy, social support, and perceived behavioural control among physically inactive
youth between the ages of 12 and 14 years in London, Ontario. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Professor Guy Faulkner. For his PhD, Paul plans to examine the effects of motivational interviewing, a behaviour modification intervention, on increasing physical activity and improving dietary habits in order to decrease adiposity of obese individuals with schizophrenia who are taking antipsychotic medication.
