About Me

Academic

My current CV: see my LinkedIn profile.

I am a graduate student at University of Toronto, St. George Campus belonging to the Department of Mathematics within the School of Graduate Studies.

I graduated in June 2007 from Woodsworth College of the Faculty of Arts and Science with a B.Sc. in:

Below are the courses I am taking and have taken, along with some class notes. Feel free to take a look at them.

Work

After grad school, I have been working in the Information Security space at Canadian banks: CIBC and Scotiabank. See my LinkedIn profile for my latest endeavors.

I had a part time job at Toronto Chinese Community Services Association, working as "Technical Liaison". I mainly maintain their computer system and network, as well as update their website. Also, I work part time at Canaforce Security, doing more or less the same things.

In addition, I tutor one-on-one. So if you or know someone who needs help in math, let me know!

I also do freelance work (web design, technical support/troubleshooting, etc.). Visit www.aliaaro.com for more information.

Personal

I do have a MSN space, and I do try to update it as much as possible. It also has nice picture (some, not much) and links to some other websites. Do post some comments on it!

Here are some websites that I visit when I surf.

This Page

Why do I have this homepage? Well, because of the reasons listed below.

  1. To access my courses' websites anywhere without remembering their long addresses, and to have access to my notes wherever an internet connection exists.
  2. I am somewhat a computer geek. This will also explain why this website looks so plain/minimalistic (or to some people ugly). I hate websites that are loaded with graphics and animations and takes forever to load, and websites in which everything is nested in tables and I have to resize my broswer to view it. I want my homepage to be one that anyone with any browser can view.
  3. Everyone seem to have one. I might as well have one too.
