I’m a Professor of Sociology and Political Science and Associate Chair of the Sociology Department at the University of Toronto. Before moving to the University of Toronto in 2007, I held academic appointments at Brock University, the University of Oxford, Western University and McMaster University.
My general teaching and research interests are in political sociology, social stratification, and applied statistics. My current research explores the consequences of income inequality for social and political attitudes. Some of my recent research has appeared in the American Sociological Review, American Journal of Political Science, British Journal of Sociology and Annual Review of Sociology.
