Legend of Dragoon
Review by: Illyandra

Introduction:
The story begins with riders that are razing a village to capture a young woman. It then leads to a young man returning to the town, and finding it in ruins. The young man, Dart, then finds out that his childhood friend was captured. Thereby starting and adventure that will lead Dart to more then he expected, and the mystery of his past.

Story 6/10:
The story wasn't very original, the basic plots were the same and there were no twists, which can be a good thing, but I found the story pretty predictable, but it wasn't horrible.

Music 6/10:
Some of the music I found REALLY annoying, like the music in the healing shrines, it just got on my nerves. Also I found the fact that when you go into the menu screen and that 30-second loop music popped up, annoying as well. Overall though, it was alright, not inspired, but not the worst music I've heard either, most of it was pleasant, and fit the mood, but not exceptional.

Graphics 8/10:
The graphics I found pretty good, especially the cinematics, they were smooth and well done. The character sprites were kind of blocky though and the backgrounds in the battles could have been nicer, but the background of the area's were quite beautiful.

Combat System 6/10:
This combat system was somewhat original, but it reminded me of Legend of Legia. By doing a certain combination you cause a combo to occur, but in this case it was you had to push the X, or O button at the right time in a combination to cause a combination attack. At first it was kind of fun, but I tired quickly of having to time my combos perfectly and pressing buttons. I found it just drew out the battles, and I didn't like spending so much time trying to level out my combos.

Overall Rating 6.5/10:
Not the greatest RPG in the world, but it wasn't the worst either.

Extra Stuff:
There's not much extra stuff to talk about, there's an area where you can play mini games, and you have to travel on lines on the world map… hmm that looks like it… Oh well.
