University of Toronto

Areas of Interest

chemical engineering, engineering education, safety culture and risk management, sustainable energy, thermodynamics, transport processes, vacuum science, organic electronics

Projects

Proudest Engineering Accomplishment

The Inert Gas and Vacuum System I Built I designed, commissioned, and maintained a new machine for making solar power devices and testing their performance

Proudest Scientific Accomplishment

I predicted, and then showed in a subsequent publication, that a new material with specific properties would be able to convert light to electrical power by a non-standard mechanism in a solar panel (DOI: 10.1021/acs.jpclett.5b01254)

Teaching

I am currently a sessional lecturer and curriculum developer at the University of Toronto. I have taught a variety of subjects including heat and mass transfer, kinetics and thermodynamics laboratories, and introductory programming.

I developed a Risk Management E-Learning Teaching Module with Minerva Safety Management Education (scroll half way down the linked page). You can see the lecture videos on Youtube, here.
