I am an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science, affiliated faculty at the School of Public Policy & Governance, and associate member at the Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Toronto. Before coming to Toronto, I held a post-doc position at the Max-Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, Germany. I received my doctorate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Washington in Seattle. My research concentrates on public policy in advanced democracies, comparative political economy, political methodology, and budgetary politics. I am directing the German Policy Agendas project which is part of the Comparative Agendas Project.
