I received my BA in Linguistics from the University of Buenos Aires and my PhD in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Minnesota. I started teaching at the University of Toronto in 2002, in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese. I also have a graduate appointment in the Department of Linguistics. My research focuses on sound change and categorization and the second language acquisition of variable phonetic parameters.
