WELCOME

These pages will take you through our journey to having a family. It's been a fun, worrying, emotional, tiring, devastating, rewarding and amazing experience so far and we hope the best is yet to come sometime in November/December 2006......

..........Okay, that's what we wrote back in May of 2006 at the start of our adventure with the twins that we'd nicknamed Fred & Barney. Back then we mentioned that twins never wait for their due date and how prophetic was that!

Baby A and Baby B as they were designated by our fertility specialist Dr Librach certainly didn't wait for December 18th to make their appearance. They also couldn't have cared less about the December 4th date that our OB Dr Pittini was talking about! Oh no, they were bound and determined to make things "interesting" for us all - parents, doctors and families alike!

So follow along here and see how the joy of waiting for the twins began and the many twists and turns which brought back so many memories of our first baby - Ian Clifford Crawley - who arrived much too soon on January 13th, 2006. His journey towards birth lasted only 19w 5d and so he was delivered far too early to survive. We love our son and we miss him terribly but his sisters remind us every day just how blessed we are.

God bless.

News

Site Updates & some very sad news:
We're sorry there haven't been any updates to the site in quite a while but Mike has been very busy with his business and Nancy has been busy....well with the twins!
There are a bunch of new photos to be edited and put up as well as lots of info on the girls' progress but all of that is on hold till March because Mike is headed to Australia and won't be back till Feb 26th. Why?
At 11.40pm on Monday, January 29th Mike's mum Dorothy Crawley passed away suddenly at the Greenslopes Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. Mike's mum had been taken there on Sunday afternoon after a fall in her home brought on by dehydration due to the extreme heat that Brisbane has been suffering with. After appearing to be improving with the intake of liquids by I.V. Mrs. Crawley's condition worsened on Monday afternoon and she finally slipped away in her sleep that night.
Mike is flying home for the funeral service which will be held at the Mt.Thompson Crematorium, West Chapel on Tuesday February 6th at 10am.
That's 7pm on Monday evening Toronto time so please think of the girls' grandma around that time if you can. While she never got to see her granddaughters - and grandson - up close or to hold them she loved them with all her heart and was so proud to be a grandmother of two beautiful little girls and a little boy who never got the chance to enjoy life.
We know Ian is with his grandpa and grandma and the three of them will be with us forever in our hearts and memories.

Twins' Registries

If you live in Southern Ontario try Once Upon A Child for some of the items listed on the other registries. We've found OUAC to be competitive in pricing and in some cases they are a lot less expensive. They don't have a registry feature but they do have on-line coupons.

Babies R Us Registry:
Shop on-line or go into any Toys R Us and use 356018929 or Nancy Crawley to find the girl's registry. Pick up a copy of their "Everything for Baby" book on your way in for lots of coupons in the back.

Sears Registry:
We are now registered at Sears under 200629257102 or Nancy and Mike's names. Two of the items on the list - Graco Stroller and Graco Playpen - are currently on sale in store.

WalMart Registry:
Yes the girls are registered at Wally World under both Nancy and Mike's names! You can't shop on-line so when you go into a store look for the registry counter and print out the list then go shopping. Remember to show the registry list to the cashier to check the item(s) off the list.
