Here are the girls on day 23.
Emma is up over 1.5Kg now and on the verge of being moved from her isolette and into a cot.
She's still got a ways to go before she can come home with us but she is getting there!
Emma came out for a cuddle with her Mum.
Emma likes sticking her fingers in her mouth and she is a serial hiccuper!
"Aunty" Mina took this photo of Mum and Dad with Emma.
She pulls such interesting faces.
Bathed in golden rays here's Madeline.
No matter how you look at her since her transfusion Maddy has really improved in her colour and general appearance.
Madeline has a sign hanging in her crib that reminds her Dad of home although it's a little more than 3,299km away. It really is a bloody long way!.
Madeline's nurse Annie gets her ready for a change of nappy and bedding.
Madeline is ready to come out and say hello.
First her nappy gets changed.
So with a nice fresh nappy and the front door open it's time to come out, right?
.......and her she is in her Mum's arms. Pardon the unusual line on her forehead that her cap left behind!
Her poor little nose gets all scrunched up from the CPAP prongs and the protective tape they put on doesn't help her looks any either! She's still so very cute.
Nancy's holding Maddy's CPAP prongs in place while Annie gets her a slightly larger cap.
A pretty new cap and Nancy gives Maddy a Kangaroo Care cuddle. The cap helps keep the CPAP lines in place.
You can see how the cap ties to the lines and also the velcro straps on the side of the cap that hold the prong's side straps.
Hmmmmmmmm.
Maddy's about to go back in to her refurbished crib. A week before this she was so pale she looked transparent!
Annie puts Maddy back in her crib.
Madeline gets to lay on her stomach at last! You can see that they have to set her bedding and position her so that her legs don't have any pressure put on them by the bedding.
