Here are the girls on day 29.
Emma is wearing another of her new outfits. This one has bears on it!
Oh and the reason we have such clear photos is because she's now in a cot! That makes her a big girl now.
She's got all her "toys" from the crib including her Australia signpost and her mirror. Also in the room is her toy elephant Fred which she got from her Cousin Kathy and Nathan.
Maddy came out to be weighed.
Her poor little head is being pushed out of shape by the beanie that she wears to keep the CPAP in place. It'll go back to normal shape after a few weeks out of the beanie when she gets back on the low flow.
She's not all that happy about coming out of her nice warm crib to be weighed and changed.
She's starting to fill out a little more now. You can see the side effect of using the CPAP - her bloated stomach. Air gets pushed into her belly because of the pressure of the CPAP and also because her feeds have been slowed down so there is very little time between each feed and not enough time to allow her to get rd of gas build up. The pressure this is causing is putting pressure on her diaphragm and that restricts her breathing and so her O2 saturation is not good. The sooner she can get off the CPAP and back onto the low flow the better.
Emma has graduated not only to a big girl's cot she's also got a big girl's pacifier now!
She's snug as a bug in a rug.
