Daryl Culp

I taught general education courses at Humber College for over ten years, including one on Science and Religion and the other an introduction to the arts and sciences.

I taught two courses at the University of Toronto, through the St. Michael's College Christianity and Culture program. One was on "Christianity and Science,"and the other on "Christianity and New Technologies."

I recently taught a course at U of T's adult education wing, the School of Continuing Studies called "Introduction to Philosophy Through Film."

I have previously taught at Lithuania Christian College, International University, Vienna and St. Jerome's University in Waterloo, Ontario.

I am a graduate of the Toronto School of Theology, an ecumenical consortium of theological schools. My degree was granted by St. Michael's College, one of the Catholic colleges at the University of Toronto. The Faculty of Theology at St. Mike's registers many students from other denominations. I am a Mennonite, and also relate to the Toronto MennoniteTheological Centre,a research centre at the TST. My thesis was on Gordon D. Kaufman's philosophy of religious language.

My Master's degree in theology is from Conrad Grebel University College, the Mennonite college on the campus of the University of Waterloo, where I got my undergrad degree in math and computer science.

I have worked as office coordinator for Science for Peace, editorial assistant for the Canadian Mennonite (a national newsmagazine), researcher at EthicScan (a research firm examining the ethics of Canadian businesses), proofreader at Catholic New Times (a weekly newspaper), and data entry clerk at Novalis (a Catholic publishing company).

I sang for several years in the choir at the church of St. Mary Magdalene, where the Canadian composer Healey Willan was music director for many years. I have previously sung in the Hart House Chorus at U of T, the Calvin Presbyterian Church in Toronto, the Da Capo Chamber Choir and Mennno Singers in Kitchener-Waterloo.
