This is my Toronto Apartment.

Yes, it's basically a dorm room with a kitchen and bathroom.
Except, it's in a real building in a real neighborhood, not university housing.

Come in my front door.
I've added a mirror to the back and some hooks to the wall next to it.

Next to the door is a closet, and around the corner from that is the bathroom.
Both have ugly plastic fan-type coverings, so I added curtains.
I also replaced the bathroom hardware with a prettier and more functional set:
only $12.00 at TJ Maxx! I still have to patch the drywall, though.

Next to and around the corner from the bathroom is the kitchen.
I added shelves over the sink for my jars o'carbs and beans.
I brought a big cutting board that sits over the sink for extra work space.

Finally, here's the main living space. I wanted to be able to study, work out,
eat, sleep, store foldable clothes, store books, and have house guests in this
area. I built a loft with shelves and bought a sofa bed and small dresser
from Ikea. I use a foldable stool to get up and down from the loft. Next to
the loft is a 24x36" drawing table that folds up against the wall. In the
corner next to the window, I have a 16" x 16" wire shelf unit that has a file
box on the lowest shelf, a multipurpose printer/copier/scanner, my external
harddrive, and the cable modem on the second shelf, and books on the top
three shelves. My computer is a laptop that I store on top the multipurpose
printer. I'm looking for a foldable table that's 3'-11 1/2" or a little less for
the space between the shelfing unit and the fridge. I also have two folding
chairs, so I can seat four (two on the sofa). When everything is folded down,
there's enough space to do aerobics or a subdued step workout (can't do lunges
off the sides of the step, can only do turns on one side, and I have to be
careful about where I wave my arms).
All the folding furniture stores behind the dresser.

I'm really liking this apartment. It's easy to keep clean and I really love being
able to afford a parking space and a cable modem.
