Roya Doostnejad is a Senior Wireless System Architect at
Redline Communications Inc.
where she is leading the advanced technology group and the research
collaboration with the ECE department
at the University of Toronto. She
received her PhD from the University of Toronto in 2005. Her thesis supervisors were
Prof. T.J. Lim
and
Prof. E. S. Sousa.
She has been an adjunct professor with the University of
Toronto since June 2009.
Dr. Doostnejad recent work has been focused on
algorithms and sub-systems
design, and development of Physical layer in both WiMax and LTE systems. She
is an expert in beamforming and interference cancellation in both uplink and
downlink and has generated three pending US and Europe patents in
MIMO-OFDMA/OFDM technology.
Her research interests are in the area of communications
theory, and digital signal processing, with special emphasis on wireless
applications as follows:
-
Physical Layer in
Broadband Wireless Comm.: WiMax, LTE, WiFi, GSM, CDMA
-
Linear/Nonlinear
Precoding and Beamforming for Single and Multiuser Channels
-
Equalization, Coding,
and Algorithm Design for MIMO, OFDM/OFDMA Systems
-
Wireless Communication Networks and
Cross-Layer Optimization
-
Digital Video Broadcast to the Handheld (DVB-H)
-
