CO2 Insufflation Protocol - Storz Insufflation Unit
  1. Ensure CO2 tank has sufficient pressure – Pressure Gauge Needle should be in the solid green part of the dial.

  2. Attach CO2 Tubing (JAC-CELL Filtered Tubing Set) to Male luer lock end of Catheter Adapter at Front of the CO2 Unit.

  3. Attach a Catheter Adapter (blue “Christmas Tree” adapter) to the Distal end of the filtered CO2 Tubing.

  4. Enema Tip - Cut the Blue Adapter off the end of the Blue Extension Tubing and attach to the “Christmas Tree Adapter”. Alternative Method - use 3 way Stopcock with the blue Puffer Bulb attached to one end of 3 way stopcock via blue adapter and blue puffer tubing. Attach male (PMMLA) adapter to distal end of Stopcock – this goes to blue tubing on enema tip. Attach CO2 tubing to remaining luer on Stopcock (see diagram). This will allow Doctor to switch from CO2 to puffed air at any time.
