Summary
Diagnosis: Diverticulosis
Clinical hints:
A common condition of the elderly in North America. Must rule
out carcinoma as the cause of the constipation. Seen
increasingly in "younger" patients.
Radiological Pearls:
- typical multiple diverticuli
- commonest in the left colon
- often colonic spasm present
- ** look for & exclude carcinoma
