Case Summary

Diagnosis:  Familial Colonic Polyposis


Clinical hints:

This is an autosomal dominant disease. There is a 100% incidence of colonic cancer by the 4th decade in untreated patients. Total colectomy needed.


Radiological Pearls:
  • uniform distribution of polyps
     
  • too many polyps to count
     
  • 5% in stomach and/or intestine
     
  • need total colectomy to survive
