Summary
Diagnosis: Non-Tropical Sprue
Clinical hints:
A malabsorption history. The x-ray shows a "sprue pattern".
Hypoproteinemia and anemia may be seen. May be edema including
small bowel edema.
Radiological Pearls:
- typical "sprue pattern":-
- (i) dilated loops of small bowel
- (ii) excess intestinal fluid
- (iii) thickened mucosa -- edema
