Summary
Diagnosis: Chronic Pancreatitis and Pseudocyst
Clinical hints:
Typical history of excess alcohol intake and biliary tract
disease. Pseudocysts may rarely lead to bowel obstruction,
abscess or hemorrhage. Calcifications are an indicator of
chronic pancreatitis.
Radiological Pearls:
- typical pancreatic calcifications
- splaying of duodenum by cyst
- ultrasound /CT very useful
- rule out retroperitoneal tumors
