Summary
Diagnosis: Ulcerative Colitis
Clinical hints:
Young patients with diarrhea and red rectal bleeding. Multiple
system involvement. This patient had back pain due to
sacro-ilitis. Increased risk of colon cancer after 10 years.
Radiological Pearls:
- spreads proximally from rectum
- diffuse symmetric involvement
- may see pseudo-polyps
- "lead-pipe" colon late finding
