Summary
Diagnosis: Renal Tuberculosis
Clinical hints:
This patient had Pott's Disease, tuberculosis of the spine,
and a tuberculous psoas abscess. His urine was "sterile"
on routine culture media, but grew tubercle bacilli on special
culture medium.
Radiological Pearls (IVP):
- "moth eaten" calyces
- "purse string" sign & strictures
- extracalyceal contrast collections
- autonephrectomy: ++ kidney calcn
