Summary
Diagnosis: Aneurysmal Bone Cyst
Clinical hints:
A benign vascular lesion commonly seen at the ends of
longbones or in the spine. May rarely be secondary to an
underlying tumor such giant cell tumor. Very vascular and may
bleed on biopsy or excision. Usually found incidently on
x-ray.
Radiological Pearls:
- expansile, eccentric
- cortical thinning
- sclerotic margination
- may be site of pathologic fracture
