Case Summary

Diagnosis:  Multiple Myeloma


Clinical hints:

Multiple myeloma is a fairly common malignancy with multi-organ as well as bony changes. This patient had myeloma proteinuria and a typical "myeloma" spike on serum electrophoresis.



Radiological Pearls:
  • diffuse axial osteoporosis
     
  • diffuse lytic lesion
     
  • typical "punched hole" skull
     
  • bone scan "cold"
