Case
Summary
Diagnosis: Parosteal Sarcoma
Clinical hints:
This is a relatively uncommon bone producing sarcoma,
typically forming an exophytic mass around the knee. It
attaches to the periosteum; a lucent line separates it from
bone. The prognosis is better than with osteogenic sarcoma.
Radiological Pearls:
- exophytic mass with tumor bone
- typically involves knee
- soft tissue component
- "lucent line" typical finding
