Case Summary

Diagnosis:  Atrial Septal Defect


Clinical hints:

The commonest left to right shunt presenting as an adult. Symptoms variable and depend on the shunt ratio.


Radiological Pearls:
  • typical "shunt vascularity"
     
  • right ventricle enlarged
     
  • main pulmonary artery enlarged
     
  • use echocardiography to assess
