There is marked dilation or prominence of the pulmonary artery.

Note the prominent pulmonary vessels seen in both upper and lower lobes. There is pulmonary plethora, i.e. too much blood is flowing to the lungs. This is "shunt vascularity".


The heart is enlarged.

The left heart border contour suggests right ventricular enlargement.
