Case
Summary
Diagnosis: Left Ventricular Aneurysm and
Calcification
Clinical hints:
This typically follows an infarct. Healing occurs with
dystrophic calcification within the myocardium itself.
Radiological Pearls:
- calcification curvilinear
- calcification within the heart wall
- often in left ventricular aneurysm
- signs of ischemia e.g. (stn. sutures)
Films were kindly provided by Dr. W. J. Weiser.
