Case Summary

Diagnosis:  Rheumatoid Lung Disease


Clinical hints:

Seen most often in males with advanced joint disease. Restriction due to lung fibrosis, and pleural effusions most common lung manifestations.


Radiological Pearls:
  • bi-basilar fibrosis with volume loss
     
  • pulmonary nodules
     
  • pleural effusions
     
  • vasculitis and pulmonary arterial hypertension: x-ray features
