Summary
Diagnosis: Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm
Clinical hints:
Usually on an atherosclerotic basis. If ascending aorta
involved, may have aortic valve incompetence and left
ventricular failure. Risk of rupture and dissection.
Radiological Pearls:
- aortic dilation: regional or diffuse
- left ventricle may be enlarged
- may be signs of failure
- if in young patients: ?? Marfan's
