Summary
Diagnosis: Acute Asthmatic Bronchitis
Clinical hints:
Acute asthma is a clinical diagnosis. When the patient is
x-rayed, the study is often normal, or shows only
hyperinflation and/or bronchial wall thickening.
Radiological Pearls:
- x-ray commonly normal
- hyperinflation and
- bronchial wall thickening usual
- atelectasis and pneumothorax may be seen
