Clinical History:
This 38-year-old man had a URI. He developed increasing
shortness of breath, fever and a purulent cough. His chest
x-ray showed a classic radiological sign virtually diagnostic
of "air space" disease. Unfortunately, the absence of it does
not exclude an air-space process.
