Summary
Diagnosis: Aortic Arch Aneurysm
Clinical hints:
This is usually on an atheromatous basis. Hypertension is
common. If the valve ring is involved, aortic regurgitation
may occur. Congestive failure may develop.
Radiological Pearls:
- dilated aortic arch
- often aortic calcification seen
- enlarged left ventricle common
- may lead to failure and edema
