Summary
Diagnosis: Aspergillosis with Fungus Ball
Clinical hints:
Patients with fungus balls usually have pre-existing cavities.
Hemoptysis, sometimes massive, is the most dreaded
complication.
Radiological Pearls:
- mass or masses in the upper lungs
- often "air crescent" signs seen
- decubitus views helpful
- CT shows typical "fungus ball"
