Summary
Diagnosis: Emphysema
Clinical hints:
Typically associated with cigarette smoking. Often seen with
bronchitis and repeated chest infections. Hypoxemia may be
profound requiring chronic oxygen therapy.
Radiological Pearls:
- signs of hyperinflation present
- often bronchitis and infiltrates,
- pulmonary arterial hypertension,
- and cor pulmonale complications
