Contrast-enhanced CT of Chest
This contrast enhanced CT study shows a large fluid density
surrounded by an enhancing rim or rind.
This enhancing rim is called the "split pleural" sign and is
due to separation of the inflamed and thickened parietal and
visceral pleural surfaces. |
