Case
Summary
Diagnosis: Hiatus Hernia
Clinical hints:
This is almost always found as an incidental finding. It can
be the basis, however, for repeated bouts of aspiration
pneumonia.
Radiological Pearls:
- typical retro-cardiac position
- usually air-fluid level seen
- absence of the gastric air bubble
- AVOID over-diagnosis
Films were kindly provided by Dr. W. J. Weiser.
