Summary
Diagnosis: Lung Abscess
Clinical hints:
Often the results of aspiration, and often seen in immuno-compromised
hosts. Requires prompt diagnosis and treatment, which may
include antibiotics and drainage.
Radiological Pearls:
- usually single but may be multiple
- wall often thick and irregular
- may be surrounding infiltrates
- may have associated effusion
