Summary
Diagnosis: Pancoast Tumor
Clinical hints:
Apical tumors may invade the brachial plexus, SVC, sympathetic
chain, esophagus, and trachea , and destroy ribs. The complex
is called "Pancoast's Syndrome".
Radiological Pearls:
- apical lung mass
- often rib or local bony destruction
- venogram or UGI studies useful
- CT and MRI show brachial plexus invasion.
