Summary
Diagnosis: Pericardial Effusion
Clinical hints:
The doctor ordered an echocardiogram which confirmed a
pericardial effusion. The etiology of the effusion was not
definitely established, but tuberculosis was suspected.
Radiological Pearls:
- enlarged cardiac silhouette
- water density "stripe" on lateral
- pericardial fat anterior to "stripe"
- echocardiography definitive test
