Diagnosis: Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Clinical hints:
Lung carcinoma is the first diagnosis in older patients. A
tissue diagnosis is needed and bronchoscopic or needle biopsy
will usually achieve the answer.
Radiological Pearls:
- lung cancer usually upper lobe
- metastases usually lower lobe
- larger masses likely cancer
- chest CT important in workup
Films were kindly provided by Dr. W. J. Weiser.
