Summary
Diagnosis: Vascular Redistribution
Clinical hints:
This is an x-ray finding which represents the physiologic
sequelae of pulmonary venous hypertension. It is seen at a
wedge pressure of about 18 mm Hg or more.
This patient has mitral stenosis.
Radiological Pearls:
- more flow to the upper lungs
- vessels larger than in lower lungs
- heart enlarged
- differs from "shunt vascularity"
