Case Summary

Diagnosis:  Acute Epidural Hematoma

Clinical hints:

Typical history of head trauma often with skull fractures which cross meningeal artery location. Rapid neurologic deterioration. Need rapid diagnosis and decompression.


Radiological Pearls:
  • classic "lentiform" shape
     
  • hyperdense
     
  • marked mass effect
     
  • need emergency CT scan
