Diagnosis:  Old Brain Infarct


Clinical hints:

Typical history and location of infarct (middle cerebral artery). Prognosis variable -- partial, complete or no recovery possible.


Radiological Pearls:
  • typical "hypodense" area on CT
     
  • evidence of brain atrophy or loss
     
  • typical location (m. cerebral a.)
     
  • MRI best imaging, if available
