Case
Summary
Diagnosis: Osteoma
Clinical hints:
Most often discovered incidentally on a plain skull film. Only
very rarely because of size or location, may need surgical
removal.
Radiological Pearls:
- typical sclerotic on plain film
- CT: rule out meningioma
- Bone Scan: rule out osteomyelitis
- generally: no further imaging
Films were kindly provided by Dr. G. Cooke.
