Summary
Diagnosis: Paget's Disease of the Skull
Clinical hints:
Most commonly seen in elderly males. Pelvis and longbones
typically involved. Backpain, arthritis and fractures common.
Small risk of osteogenic sarcoma.
Radiological Pearls:
- Osteoporosis circumscripta: early
- Blastic "cotton ball" phase: late
- Basilar invagination can occur
- Skull base compression: rare
