Case Summary

Diagnosis:  Acute Subdural Hematoma

Clinical hints:

Typical patient is a male, often alcoholic, with a recent fall or history of head trauma. Depending on size and symptoms, may need surgical evacuation.


Radiological Pearls:
  • typical crescentric shape
     
  • collection crosses suture lines
     
  • does not cross midline
     
  • CT diagnostic
