Case Summary

Diagnosis:  Linear Skull Fracture

Clinical hints:

History of skull trauma. Undepressed, uncomplicated fractures are usually uneventful. Epidural hematoma and rarely dural sinus thrombosis may occur. Assess clinically.


Radiological Pearls:
  • straight and sharp fracture line
     
  • fracture line not sclerotic
     
  • if across meningeal a. ? epidural h.
     
  • may need CT to evaluate
