E. Hacimenni received the B.S. degree in Business and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Econometrics, all from Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir.
She worked at YABIM Computer Center as an Instructor and System Analyst. She started to study and work at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences as a researcher. She became Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics of Dokuz Eylul University, in 1999. In 2000, she joined the Knowledge/Intelligence System Laboratory at University of Toronto as a Post Doctoral Fellow.
