I am a student and journalist currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am on exchange from the University of Toronto, where I study international relations and economics. I have been blogging on and off since early high school, though most of the evidence is, thankfully, well-buried.

Timothy Findley's memoir Inside Memory convinced me to write seriously. The Truth somehow got me interested in journalism. When I'm feeling burnt out, I read bell hooks. Knowledge and the Wealth of Nations and Freakonomics made me switch my major to economics. Next of Kin is this book about chimpanzees and sign language that I try to push on everyone I know.

I copy edit at The Student. I also blog for Shameless Magazine.
