Welcome.
What I do: I'm a research scientist specializing in neuroscience; I use pharmacology, electrophysiology, imaging, genetics and behavioural approaches to study biological functions at levels ranging from the whole animal down to cells and molecules. I study the mechanisms involved in cell development, communication, and remodeling. A major focus is to elucidate the mechanisms underlying learning and memory under normal as well as diseased conditions. Navigate through the various sections (click on links at the left) to find out more about my interests, current and previous experience, and some of the techniques I use in the lab.
I work in the laboratory of Dr. John C. Roder, a senior scientist at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute (Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada). I am also an Imaging Facility contact for the 2-photon laser scanning confocal microscope.
