My first name is He(壑). In Chinese, it means deep valley, and is often linked to difficult obstacles. My grandfather gave me the name as he wanted me to overcome obstacles in life. The proper pronunciation of He is "hè", and sounds like "hur" but with a angry tone.
My family name is Shuang(双 in simplifed Chinese or 雙 in traditional Chinese), a rare family name in China and it literally means "double", "a pair".
